The Written Word Tuesday: The Utter East

Since last week's poem was quite a mouthful I went with something short and sweet this time.  This little bit is not from a book of poems but instead from a tale most of you have at least heard of.  In C.S. Lewis' Voyage Of The Dawn Treader the character of Reepicheep (a talking mouse who's valiance is greater than most larger beings) recites a sweet little tune that was spoken over him as a baby.  I've always like the simplistic essence of it.

Reepicheep's Prophesy

Where sky and water meet,
Where the waves grow sweet,

Doubt not, Reepicheep,
To find all you seek,
There is the utter East.
